This was a big year for Flood the Nations and the Mission Water Project. Our team had the privilege of returning to the first villages we installed filters in Las Playas (2011) and San Agustine (2012). It was great to visit friends we had made in previous years, learn of their progress, the impact of the clean water, and the struggles they faced recently through a devastating hail storm that wiped out their coffee farms.
It was great to see the water filters still be in used and making a difference. We were told by the village that they would typically see 40 people per month taken to the clinic for various illnesses. Now, because of the water filters, that is down to 5 people per month! Children stay in school, parents stay working, all from simple clean water. Listen to Domingo’s story below.
